The story is I Wish, by Richard Hennebert. I particularly appreciate the use of the second person in this story. It's hard to write in second person with any sort of skill and Mr. Hennebert does it well. I also like the staccato use of short sentences in the last few paragraphs; it does a great job of building narrative tension and brings it to a satisfying finish.
(And yes, I know that sounds like a description of orgasm, and it's meant to...as I think the structure of the story is meant to.)
