What is your weapon of choice?
I know how to use a few different types of weapons - quarterstaff, darts, shuriken, dagger - but I truly prefer a short sword or a short bow.
The lesser version of a bow allows for quicker, faster use and a short sword allows for faster, sneakier moves.
My favourite sword and bow are the ones my sister gave me after she got me free from Spellhold, the Short Sword of Mask and the Gesen Bow.
The Gesen Bow, when not used to fire normal arrows, draw energy from another plane to shoot spears of lightening. A side effect of this is that it also partially protects the user from electricity as well.
It is a good, reliable bow that I have refused to replace time and again because it has served me so well.
The other is my sword, the Short Sword of Mask.
It is a powerful magical sword, blessed for the particular usage of those who work in the shadowy business of thievery as that is the rule of He who it is named after, the Shadowlord Mask, god of Thieves.
Besides the high damage it usually inflicts it also drains some of the vital energy from one's opponents and can leave them mired in a net of magical creepers that can keep them immobilized.
I am not sure I could ever pick which of these two I prefer over the other, they are my most prized weapons of all.
