this is a south american squirrel. it has little hair cuz it is hot in south america, therefore it does not need hair to keep it insulated.
one day, the south american hairless squirrel migrates down to antartica.
it doesn't need a reason.

this is an antartican squirrel. it is cold in antartica, therefore the antartican squirrel has a lot of fur. it is a furry squirrel.

this is the sad part.
they make babies, and since the dominate trait is furry, they have furry baby squirrels, and since it is heterozygous, too, there might be some not so hairy babies.
but they die.
like the not so hairy squirrel.
