1) Wireless... Wade will know about, because his laptop has it.
2) I don't know what the top of the line is... or what isn't. ^^; I can't really decide on this one. You might want to talk to my dad actually. :o
3) It's a type of memory. That's all I know. XD I think it refers to the type of slot it goes in? :O
4) The processor determines how fast the computer can comprehend stuff. Like, if you open 80 programs on your computer, it will take a long time to load because your processor is old... On mine, it wouldn't take as long because mine is newer! I think it also affects how much stuff you can open at once without crashing. Different people like different things. Some people love Pentium processors, but Wade's an AMD guy. XD I have AMD too. ^^
5) HP and Dell do the same thing. (I think.) They make their own parts and put their own computers together. Basically, if you buy a computer from them, if you want to get a DVD drive, you have to buy from them because they make their computer cases in such a way that their DVD drives are the only ones that fit in their cases. That's where they rake in your money. ^^;; Dad can order from either of them... Because it's unlikely and not worth it to upgrade a laptop. Dad also orders from Toshiba and... wherever your mom got her laptop from. :O I don't know why, but I'm partial to Toshiba. ^^;
6) I'm not entirely sure. I don't think so... Although, I'm not sure about Capture Cards either. XD S-Vid cables are easy to come by, I think.
7) DVD-R= DVD Rom... Means you can read a DVD on your computer... or watch it. ^^ I believe what they're getting at is it's a combo.. Like it's a DVD-Rom and a DVD-Re Writer. ^^ And DVD-Roms can also read CDs! And DVD-R/RW can read CDs/DVDs and burn CDs/DVDs! It's like a super CD thing. XD (Except if you buy from BenQ, then they fucking hate you. :D)
8) I'm not entirely sure what memory is... I think I was wrong in saying that a Processor determines how much stuff you can open without crashing... I think that's memory. I also think memory determines how smoothly and fast you computer runs? I'm not sure. :\ Hard drive is where you can store files and stuff. I think you have a 30GB. ^^
