My childhood wasn't lost to a mirror. It was lost to an emptiness. Where you looked at your reflection and saw something less than you are, I look into myself and saw nothing. I had no desires, no fears, no memories. Even my own name was beyond my reach.

I look at you and I see a reflection of myself. I see all the dreams, desires, fears, and doubts... I see where you are and where you are heading. I embrace your dreams and desires and know that you have far more of what is needed to achieve them than I ever did. I understand your fears and doubts, and know that you have the strength and wisdom to conquer them as I have mine.

There is only one thing standing in the way of your dreams: You.

If you allow it, if you understand and accept it, there will come another moment to balance the last; a moment when you will become your greatness, when peace will replace panic, when understanding will wash over confusion, when the mask will fall from the mirror and you will be reflected as the person you truly are: strong, passionate, intelligent, beautiful, and on the endless path to wisdom.

What stands between you and what you will become is the memory of that mirror.

I believe in you.
Always.
