[OOC: For anyone who doesn’t know, Nena is a technopath. So while she does have her journal on her, this entry was made with her mind, which is nothing new. What is new, is that she’s very, very weak at the moment and couldn’t properly focus while making this. Instead of her usual text, the post’s ‘voice’ - but shares only a faint resemblance to her normal voice, since she speaks to everyone kind of fakely in order to sound cuter. It’s a little deeper, and sounds more like a woman’s voice than a young teenage girl’s. On this particular occasion, it’s got a grim and strained tone to it. Oh, and the entry’s full of static and other weird technical difficulties. Enjoy!]
[The entry starts of with a small ‘click’, immediately followed by a rush of static. The static soon stops and a woman begins to speak. Whenever she talks, there’s an audible echo.]
…A lot of them were the same, you know. Just without all the fire. It’d be very strange if they were still burning over a year later. Other than that, so many really were the same way we left them. A few still had…
…
I’m scared, Brothers. I’m scared because there are so many reasons why they didn’t clean up, didn’t rebuild. But the one that scares me the most is-
…What if… what if they left everything same because… those places…
What if they weren’t important? What if all those people died for nothing?
Then we… we really would be monsters, wouldn’t we? You’re both dead, so it doesn’t really matter for you anymore, but… I’m still here. I’m still alive when all those others can’t be, because I took that away from them when they didn’t even need to die…
…But of course they lied to us about that. Of course they did. Because in the end it turned out that we were lies too.
[Her voice becomes harder to hear as the static returns.]
And soon it… it won’t matter for… me either.
...I'm sorry.
Father wins.
[The static drowns out everything else, and after several minutes of just that, the entry ends.]
