I don't know why, but I've avoided saying this in here for a week now. So here it is.
My mom has breast cancer. She's having a lumpectomy on Valentine's Day.
Do me a favor, and don't leave a message about how sorry you feel. For some reason, I just know it will be slightly contrived. And quite honestly, I just don't want any sort of pity or sadness. I just thought I'd let you all know.
For what reason, I still don't know for sure.
