Summary: Adam and Tommy are in high school. Adam’s never been kissed.

Adam was sitting in the basement of his friend, Scarlett’s house. He was wishing that he hadn’t come tonight. Sure he was with friends, but he wasn’t really in the mood to be social. It didn’t help that they were playing a game of I Never. Adam hated that game.
Adam took a small sip of his drink. He didn’t want to drink too much. His father would lecture him if he had to call for a ride home because he was drunk.
As the game continued, Adam got a little depressed. It reminded him of all the things that he hadn’t done. It didn’t matter that he was just about to start his senior year of high school. He felt like he was already so far behind his friends in life experiences.
When the game was finally over, Adam went outside to get some air. He sat alone on the back steps and looked up at the sky.
“Are you okay, Adam?” Tommy questioned as he came outside to join him.
“I’m fine. I just wasn’t in the mood to hang out tonight. I shouldn’t have come.” Adam replied.
“Is there something you want to talk about?” Tommy inquired as he sat beside him.
“I hate playing I Never. It always makes me feel like I’m missing out on important parts of the high school experience.” Adam told him.
“Why?...Because you don’t hook up in weird places with anyone who is willing? Because you’ve never been drunk or high?” Tommy quizzed. “Those aren’t important experiences.”
“I know and it’s not that. It’s that I’m the only one of us who has never been in a relationship. I’ve never had sex. Hell, I’ve never even been kissed.” Adam replied dramatically.
Adam hung his head. Tommy chuckled to himself a little. Adam did have a tendency to be a little dramatic. It was kind of cute. He moved closer to Adam and put his arm around him. Adam lifted his head and looked at Tommy. He had tears glistening in his eyes.
Tommy smiled at him and leaned in. Gently, he pressed his lips to Adam’s lips. Adam sighed and allowed Tommy to slip his tongue into his mouth. They kissed for a few minutes before Adam pulled away. His first kiss had been amazing, but he was unsure of Tommy’s motives.
“But you and Scarlett…” Adam started to say.
“Broke up like four months ago. We knew that we were better friends than anything else. She’s happy with Lee now.” Tommy told him.
“I know, but you were with Scarlett so you aren’t gay. Why did you kiss me?” Adam asked. He didn’t want it to be a pity kiss.
“I kissed you because I wanted to. I’ve wanted to for awhile. Things aren’t always just black and white. I’m not gay or straight. I’m attracted to men and women, so I guess that I’m bisexual.” Tommy explained.
“Oh.” Adam replied.
He was shocked that Tommy had wanted to kiss him. He’d had a little crush on Tommy for awhile, but he never thought he had a chance.
“Is that all you have to say?” Tommy asked playfully.
“No. Will you kiss me again? I really liked it the first time.” Adam responded with a smile.
Tommy smiled back and leaned in to press his lips to Adam’s again. They kissed for awhile until they heard someone calling for them from inside.
“Let’s go back inside.” Tommy whispered as they broke the kiss.
He stood up and held out his hands to Adam. Adam smiled up at him and took his hands. He stood up. Tommy leaned in and kissed him quickly on the lips. He held Adam’s hand as they went back into the party.
As the party continued, Tommy stayed by Adam’s side. They held hands and occasionally kissed. Adam was extremely happy. He couldn’t stop smiling. He knew that their friends noticed the new behavior, but no one said anything.
When the party was over, Adam gave Tommy a ride home. They made out in the drive way for almost a half hour before Tommy reluctantly said goodnight and went inside. Adam smiled the whole way home. He’d never felt more like a normal teenager.
