“We need a singer for our gig next weekend.”  Tommy told Adam as they sat on their couch.

“What happened to David…that was his name right?”  Adam questioned.

“Yeah, but it just wasn’t the right fit.  It was mutual decision.”  Tommy explained.

“Monte sings, right?  Maybe he could fill in for the show…until you find someone else.”  Adam suggested.

“He could, but I already have someone in mind.  I was thinking that you could sing with us.  You just finished up Wicked and you’re looking for something else to do.  I think you’d be an amazing rock star.”  Tommy stated as he ran his fingers through Adam’s hair.

“Baby, I don’t know.  I mean I’ve been thinking about pursuing music, but do you really think it’s a good idea for us to be in a band together?  What would Monte, Cam, and Isaac have to say about all of this?”  Adam inquired.

“First, I think that it’s a great idea for us to be in a band together.  Second of all, Monte, Cam, and Isaac are already on board with this.  I talked to them at rehearsal earlier.  They’ve all heard you sing and think you’d be a perfect fit.”  Tommy answered with a smile.

“I guess it could be fun.”  Adam declared with a smile of his own.

“Just give it a try.  Come to rehearsal with me tomorrow and we’ll see how it goes.”  Tommy spoke before leaning in and kissing Adam’s neck.

Tommy allowed his hand to roam over Adam’s body.  Slowly, he grazed over Adam’s semi-hard cock.  He felt him twitch through his jeans.

“Baby, you don’t have to use sex to get me to agree.  I was gonna say yes.”  Adam groaned as he laced his fingers in Tommy’s hair.

“Well, in that case…”  Tommy stopped kissing Adam and removed his hand.

“On second thought…maybe I do need a little more convincing.”  Adam said with a smirk as he grabbed Tommy’s hand and guided it back to his erection.

Tommy smirked and continued his assault on Adam’s body.  Adam was usually in control, but lately he had been letting Tommy take the reins more often.  Tonight was one of those nights.  He just sat back and let Tommy set the pace.  He let his boyfriend remove his clothes and slowly caress just about every inch of his body.

Tommy slid to his knees and took Adam into his mouth.  He sucked slowly as he worked his fingers into Adam.  When he finally allowed Adam to cum, he swallowed everything.  He stood up and leaned over Adam to kiss him soundly.

When the kiss broke, Adam moved from his position.  He got on his knees and leaned on the back of the couch.  He felt Tommy behind him.  He shuddered as he entered him.  Tommy went slow at first, but quickly sped up.  He shouted Adam’s name as he came.

The next day, Adam and Tommy went to rehearsal with the band.  Monte, Cam, and Isaac were glad that Adam had decided to join them.  They all sat and talked for a little bit about what kind of music they wanted to play at the show.  Adam already knew what types of songs they usually played.  It leaned toward classic rock, but they also threw some newer songs into the mix.  Adam liked the songs they played, but he made a few suggestions of his own.  His selections leaned more towards pop, but everyone seemed to be willing to give them a try.

“Let’s play something and see how it feels.”  Monte suggested after awhile of talking.

Everyone agreed and moved from the circle they had formed.  Monte and Tommy picked up their guitars.  (Monte on lead guitar and Tommy on bass.)  Isaac sat behind his drums and Cam sat at her keyboard.  Adam took the microphone and tried not to look nervous.  He really wanted this to work out.

“What do you want to sing, Adam?”  Monte inquired once everyone was ready.

“Let’s try Whole Lotta Love.”  Adam replied.

Tommy smiled at him reassuringly as they got ready to play the song.  They played it slower than the original, but it didn’t take Adam long to get into the groove of the song.

“You need coolin’….Baby, I’m not foolin’…I’m gonna send you back for some schoolin’…Way down inside…Honey you need love…I’m gonna give you my love…Gonna give you my love…Wanna whole lotta love…Baby, you want my whole lotta love…”  Adam sang

When they were done with the song, Monte, Cam, Isaac, and Tommy clapped for Adam.  He had been amazing.  They had all been amazing.  Adam was the missing piece.  They were all sure of it.

“Baby, you got this.  Why are you so nervous?  You’ve sang in front of more people than this before.”  Tommy asked as they waited backstage.

“It’s different when I’m in a show.  I’m a character then.  Now, I’m just me.  What if people don’t like it?”  Adam questioned nervously.

“People are gonna love you.  I love you.”  Tommy declared before leaning in and kissing Adam quickly.

“I love you too, but I’m still nervous.”  Adam admitted.

“Adam, you were born to be a rock star.  You can do this.  Just go out there and be a rock star…Make it a character.”  Tommy suggested.

“You’re right.  I can do this.”  Adam replied.

“That’s my boy.”  Tommy responded with a smile and another kiss.

As soon as Adam hit the stage, he became a rock star.  The audience was going crazy.  Adam owned the stage.  He’d never felt more alive onstage.  He couldn’t help himself.  When they covered Purple Haze, he changed the lyrics to excuse me while I kiss this guy and pulled Tommy into a deep kiss.  The crowd even cheered for that.

“Dude, you were awesome!”  Isaac exclaimed when they were backstage after the show.

“Thanks.  It felt great.”  Adam replied smiling ear to ear.

“I told you that you could do it, rock star.”  Tommy whispered before softly kissing Adam’s lips.

“Excuse me…I hate to interrupt the celebration, but I’d like a few minutes of your time.”  A man spoke as he looked at Adam, Tommy, Monte, Cam, and Isaac.

They all looked at him.  No one knew who he was.

“My name is Scott Harrison.  I’m a talent scout for 19 Entertainment.  You guys are really good.  I’d like to set up a meeting with you and my boss, Simon Cowell.  I think he’d really like you.  Do you guys have a demo?”  Scott inquired.

“We don’t.  We’ve only been together for about a week.”  Monte told him.

“You guys have only been together for a week.  That’s outstanding.  You played so well together.”  Scott responded.

“Well, actually, Monte, Tommy, Isaac, and I have been playing together for months, but Adam just joined us this week.  We had five different lead singers before him.”  Cam explained.

“Very impressive…Adam, have you ever been in a band before because I have to say that you are an amazing front man?”  Scott asked.

“No, I’ve never been in a band before.  I’ve been doing musical theater for practically my whole life though.”  Adam enlightened.

“Okay…Simon never agrees to meet with a band before hearing a demo.  How soon could you put one together?  It doesn’t have to be anything too professional.  You could record it yourselves…at a show or rehearsal or whatever.”  Scott told them.

“Could you give us a few minutes to talk about this?”  Monte asked.

“Of course.  I’m going to go back out to the bar and get a drink.”  Scott responded.

Once Scott was gone, the band gathered in a circle to discuss their options.

“So this is a good opportunity, right?  We should try to make this happen.”  Isaac declared.

Monte, Cam, and Tommy agreed with him.  Adam didn’t say anything.  He still couldn’t believe this was happening.  They all looked at him.

“Adam, baby, what do you say?  I know you weren’t sold on this whole band thing, but Scott was right.  You are an amazing front man.  Do you want to give this a real try?”  Tommy asked his boyfriend as he placed his hand on his shoulder.

“Absolutely.  Being onstage tonight was beyond amazing.”  Adam finally answered.

“Great.  I say we go tell Scott that we can have him a rough demo by next Friday.  We’ll have to work on it everyday, but we can come up with something.”  Monte spoke.

Everyone agreed.  They went out to the bar as a group and told Scott.  He arranged to meet with them on Friday to pick up the demo.  He bought them a round of drinks to celebrate.

For the next week, they spent every available second working on the demo.  They all had the sense that this was going to be life changing.

Monte had some recording equipment.  They decided that they would record three songs and try to show their range.  They recorded Whole Lotta Love by Led Zeppelin, Starlight by Muse, and Bad Romance by Lady GaGa.  Their version was cross between the original and the 30 Seconds to Mar’s cover.

Scott picked up the demo and they waited anxiously for the next several days to hear from him.  Monte finally got the call from him when they were all at rehearsal almost a week later.  He told them that Simon was very interested.  He wanted to see them live before making his final decision.  He was going to go to their show the following night.

Adam was nervous again knowing that Simon was going to be in the audience.  He didn’t want to blow this chance for the band or for himself.  Tommy tried to calm him down.  As soon as he hit the stage, a flip switched and he was a rock star.

After the show, Simon met them backstage.  Scott made the introductions.  Adam held his breathe waiting to hear what he was going to say.

“You guys are going to be the next big thing.  I’m never wrong about these things.  I’ll have my lawyer draft up a contract.  You can come into the office on Monday and sign it.  I want to get you into the studio as soon as possible.”  Simon stated matter-of-factly.

They cheered and hugged each other.  They couldn’t believe that this was actually happening to them.

“Baby, can you believe this?”  Tommy asked when they were back in their apartment that night.

“It’s crazy, but it feels right.  You know…It feels like it’s what was meant to be.”  Adam replied.

“Yeah, it does.  I’m so glad that we’re doing this together.”  Tommy told him as he leaned in to kiss him.

“Me too.”  Adam whispered as he rolled Tommy onto his back.

Adam lay over top of him and kissed him deeply.  He felt like the luckiest guy in whole world.  He was going to be a rock star and he was going to have the love of his life right there with him.
