A few things about that speaker today:
-she's right, girls do need to dress modestly, partly so they don't look like skanks to everyone else, but more so because they should have self-respect.
-and while girls should dress modestly, if a girl does dress skanky and is raped, she is not the one to be blamed. at all. she did not make the choice to rape. That's like putting a half-open chocolate bar on the table in front of me and when I give in and eat it saying it's only partly my fault because it was tempting me.
-and for the record, sexual promiscuity is not the only way to contract AIDS! the lady made it seem like if you have sex with someone, you will get it, and that's it. I'm not advocating sex by any means but she presented a narrow view. she also made it seem like everyone w/ AIDS made that choice. Sure, some did, but what about contracting AIDS through blood transfusion? or through one's mother?
