how to help

May 13, 2008 15:13

i just realized that the cyclone in myanmar hit on my mother's birthday.

anyway, thousands are dying, and if you have a heart, you could show it by donating to the Singapore Red Cross, who has successfully crossed the blockade that the Myanmar government had put on all foreign helpers. (see http://www.straitstimes.com/)

you could donate by
(i) DBS/POSB ATM fund transfer, select 'more services', then 'credit card/bill payment' key in 99 under 'other corporation', then 13 for 'red cross myanmar cyclone'. indicate your contact number as the Bill Reference Number.

(ii) DBS i-banking, which since i doubt most readers use, i wont post it over here, head over to http://www.redcross.org.sg/ to check it out.

(iii) cheque ;

and (iv) AXS stations.

im sure we can all spare some of our meager allowances, and if anyone needs help in transferring the money, (i.e. you can only pay by cash) please contact me and i'll help you transfer it through ATM.

please do consider, they really need your help.
