freshmen initiation
first of all, i think it's interesting how we get manipulated by characters in the movies we watch. johnsie and i were talking about how we let the characters absorb us in, and for those two-and-a-half hours, you experience exactly what the character's feeling.
second, i did not know boys carried weapons in their cars. apparently james & kris carry METAL BATS in their trunks?! and james has a hammer next to his driver seat. how frightening.
and to freshmen initiation! i thought it was a lot of fun. i'm sure some of them thought we were horridly mean people, and would do cruel things - but honestly how do some of you guys think so lowly of us. we're not inhumane tyrants that totally degrade the freshmen. afterall, my kid sister's a fish. we went on a human scavanger hunt that had things like "find someone who is over 6'1'', someone nominated for homecoming court, member of chess club, etc." the girls in my car - madison, amanda (m), kate, amy, and molly were awesome =]. we definitely won! too bad they didn't tab points at the end.
and then we met back at lex's house and someone brought john goodman & dan.
it was amusing how many girls thought john was "oh so cute" & i wonder if it gets to their heads. freshmen can be so awkward sometimes. =] john later told me that he realizes he must be that awkward around the girls he likes, and it was just amusing to see how he'd act .. except towards him. i love people who can completely change the mood of the entire room. i respect that.
i think the vball program needed this sleepover. (too bad i couldn't sleep over, because i'm supposed to be working on my stanford essays). i have no idea what those hooligans are up to tonight =]
