Job applications!!!
I just despise answering stupid questions on job applications.
I mean, I'm nearly 40 years old, what conceivable difference does it make where I went to elementary school??? Every teacher I had back then is now retired, and most are deceased. No one there would remember me.
Did I graduate elementary school? Uh, no. It was the 70s, we didn't 'graduate' every grade, we passed. I graduated high school. I graduated college. I didn't ''graduate" elementary school.
Why do they ask if I applied before? Does it matter if I applied once years ago??? Am I really supposed to remember every stinking application I put in for a job ever?
What do I do about illegal questions? It's against the law to ask about gender, birth date, race or age. Should I ignore the question and leave it blank? Go ahead and answer it? write ILLEGAL QUESTION???
A couple of my previous employers are now out of business, so what do I put down for phone number and contact person????
Although its a legal question, I still get annoyed about having to put my social security number down on every darn application. How do I know they are going to protect my information or just toss it out where any identity thief can get a hold of it?
