Goodbye Sims :(
My external hard drive has developed many problems and is on its last leg. completely dead. I can't recover anything.
Before the trouble started, I moved the 'my documents' folder on to the external hard drive so I would have more space for my downloads folder. All was well, for a while. My cats knocked the external hard drive off the shelf. After which, it began losing files. Last night, a lightning strike hit the electric wires and wiped out some more of my files.
All my neighborhoods are gone, and all the sims that was in them are gone too. I've lost my legacy family, my VDSL, my custom neighborhoods, my queen bee and her 100 plus children. Grouchy is gone, Greg is gone, Cassandra's twins are gone. All the sims I downloaded and put in my game are gone. Bella is dead again, and Mortimer is an old man once more. Vgr is gone.
So, looks like I get to start all over again. I can re-start the custom neighborhoods, but it's not going to be the same without my sims there. I can redownload Violette and her children. i uploaded generation 2 of my legacy family, and some of the generation 3 members, but I never uploaded any generation 4 members, so Frieda and Kahlo are gone. Seems kinda pointless to continue the legacy, because the current generation is gone forever. And I did upload 'Mac' who was a child version of Greg, but without Grouchy, Greg's just another pretty face.
If you need me, I'll be over here in the corner bawling....
ETA: Well, it just got worst. Not only did I lose all my neighborhoods, and sims, all my custom neighborhoods are gone from the list of neighborhoods availible when I click 'create new neighborhood'. All my custom downloads are gone, as well as all my custom skins, hairs, clothes...well, basically, everything that didn't come with the game.
SCREAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Also, I've lost Caddo Mills. Mediafire lost the file. Does anyone have a copy?
Also, see the sim in my icon, Frieda? Anyone got any ideals on where I got that hair from? I thought it was GOS, but it's not there.
