New Seven Wonders
I did not know about the other wonders of the world. I knew about the pyramids, but I bet you did too. I was surprised to learn that most of the other wonders were places/structures I've never even heard of, which only goes to show just how much I know of the world, but at least now I know.
There's a contest to name the new seven wonders, and it seems like only the pyramids are there to stay. Potential "new" wonders include the Eiffel Tower, Taj Mahal, and the Statue of Liberty. I've never seen these either, but at least I know what they look like. So note to self, Google: the Mausoleum of Halicarnassus.
The Mayon Volcano or the Banaue Rice Terraces or Megamall are not included in the list to choose from. Boo.
But it'll be interesting to find out which ones will make up the new seven.
