6. Of English Pubs and Policemen
The icon seemed appropriate for English pubs. Will and I watched the English game last night. Around 9 o'clock last night I wondered out loud what pubs were going to do. Would they show the first half, would they stay open and just not serve alcohol? This was a perfect excuse to the go to the pub. So down we toddled at 10 o'clock. Got a drink, at 10.20 when kick off was due to start, they called last orders and shut the pub ten minutes later! Talk about ignoring the sport that keeps people coming in.
So we came home to watch the football which was boring *yawn*. Just before half time our policemen wandered in. They are both from Dublin and married. First impressions, they seem like decent chaps.
And now for me stuff. Whatever the heck is going on in my head, things that generally cause me to be slightly annoyed by people are really bugging me at the minute and I've been in a pissy mood with most everyone for the past 5 days or so.
