oh lj...I've been away for so long. I'm sorry.
Crazy things have been happening at TBS, which is to be expected. I can't remember the last time I wrote about but we've had probably 2 FEXs (field exercises). My patrolling FEX I strained a muscle so badily I was light duty (can't do things) for two weeks. Which meant I had to make up my Endurance Course, pushing my Night Land Nav remedial to last night. That was a huge bitch. While night land nav in general consists of blindly running into trees and falling in holes, I was surprised I didn't break an ankle (like another Lt) in my second leg which was a blind scramble up a rock pile into mortar holes. Anyway, I have remedial land nav this saturday which will also be obnoxious. Mainly because after that, I have FEX III then CDO that saturday (staying up on guard duty for 24 hours with a total of about 3 hours of non continuous sleep). But the next week is classes, tests, and general nothing followed by a 4-day weekend, so that will be nice.
Today I'm getting presented my award from the writing contest by the CO of TBS. To give you an idea of the magnitude.....it's sorta like a freshmen in high school being congratulated by a college professor for their work. I don't think that analogy quite works but I hope you get what I'm saying. A Colonel is basically god to 2ndLts. That's a six rank difference. I'm a little nervous to say the least.
I'm going to get a little more studying in for tomorrow's exam so bye lj.
