knock at the door
me: mhm? (gets up to open door)
short girl: hi! is alexa there?
me: um (points to alexa on bed)
alexa gets up crying
short girl: are you ok blah blah blah?
alexa: i'm fine, i broke up with my boyfriend two days ago etc. etc.
me: ...
other girl: ... (frowns)
short girl: blah blah blah!
(the two girls sit on beds.)
a pause
short girl: so liz, we wanted to have a meeting between the four of us.
me: the four of us? (looking around)
short girl: yeah. blah blah blah blah blah labalhab alhalblahalbalhlahlablablahlah
me: yeah it's ok with me if we switch roommates.
other girl: i stay up late and wake up early. i watch movies at night with my headphones on. want to move the dresser over here?
me: sure.
alexa: sob.
short girl: we'll go talk to the RA.
door closes
alexa: me and her went partying last night and she has been fighting with the other girl because she invited her boyfriend over and asked him to sleep over on short notice.
me: that's weird, i hope that girl is easy to live with. you are such a good roommate.
alexa: so are you. i gotta go talk to somebody at the end of the hall.
me: ok i'll stay in here.
alexa exits
alexa returns
alexa: uh wow where did all these candy wrappers come from?
