1. i have a facebook. no big deal.
2. i have been offered a chance to go to south africa to study the way they deal with treating HIV/AIDS and get a feel for the whole medical system there. it's a two-week summer thing and i REALLY want to do it. trick is, it costs like $6,000. and it has to be paid in full by Feb.
my mom said she'd think seriously about it once my dad's bonus comes through. if she would pay for me to go (since i couldn't save up that much money by then by myself) i would be the happiest girl alive. ever.
