Tomorrow afternoon I will add Florida to the list of states that I have visited in the US. I am going to Orlando, the home of Disneyworld but I highly doubt that I am going to get to visit Mickey and his troop. Somehow the thought of visiting a theme park with my boss seems a little weird.
After I set foot on Floridian soil I will be able to say (sort of) that I have visited the four corners of the country (California, Washington, Maine and Florida).
The one place that I would really love to go see if Kennedy Space Center. But from what I hear it's about 2 hour's drive from where I'm going to be.
This trip is for business of course and the one visit that I am really looking forward to is to a company that makes avionics. They supply the avionics for makers like Cirrus and Diamond. So it should be really awesome to get to visit a customer that isn't involved in making basestations for cellphone networks. It will be an opportunity for me to talk to the engineers there and see what they do and to see if perhaps I can find a job that will combine my passion for engineering with my love for flying. But that's a ways of anyway.
For now I need to go pack. I hate packing for trips. I always feel like I've forgotten something or another. Always. Oh well. I really need to get myself a better cabin bag. The one I have is too small for anything longer than a two day trip and the next bag I have after that is a large suitcase. Should have picked up that one when I was in Singapore. Oh well.
