All of a sudden, it was like Lt. Frank Drebin took over behind the dish!

Okay before I go onto my rant I will at least address these issues: Tito has been managing one step behind everything this series. This rings true with the Beckett stuff. That was a stupid move. I also think that Josh Beckett needs to just swallow his pride and admit he's hurting and take himself off the roster. I don't care what you all thing, he's hurting. His velocity is down and he's not himself. He needs to stop trying to be all heroic and shit. Dude, I admire the fact that you at least are trying to, but let's face it -- there's certain injuries that you can't play through. An oblique is one of them. This is by far Tito's worst managerial postseason game yet. Let's hope it's the last where he does something stupid like this. I'm also not too thrilled with Jacoby's performance. I'd rather see Coco Crisp out there for Game 3. Bay-Crisp-Drew. Anyways onto my big rantface about the umpiring:

Yes I know, Timlin got the loss. Yes I'm well aware of this. That being said, he got screwed. He got screwed big time. He was not getting any calls his way. I think this is the umpire's way of saying "It's in extras, we wanna go home, let's just go and give this to the home team". And honestly, I'm slightly okay with this if it was say...April but THIS IS THE FUCKING POSTSEASON. You need to be on your games. Timlin is old as fuck and he sucks pretty hard, we know this. But this inning he actually looked like he had some stuff on him. Unfortunately, the umps were giving him nothing. And he actually coughed up a walk on a pitch that was called Strike 3 on Kotsay earlier. I'm fucking pissed. I mean I don't care which way that pitch really was but let's put it this way -- Our fucking pitching coach got EJECTED for arguing. Ejections in postseason play are not very common, the only one I can clearly think of is Jimy Williams in 1999. But seriously, it's the postseason, I don't care if the fucking game goes to 20 innings, get the fucking calls right because it could be make or break. Apparently Lt. Frank Drebin had taken over behind the plate.

On the other end of the spectrum thing, you gotta hand it to the Red Sox' bullpen and the Rays' bullpen. Nice job by them(though the 11th is debatable only because they got a gift call on the Kotsay strikeout but there was 1 out anyway) in the game. Especially Dan Wheeler. Holy shit did Pilgrim's own come up huge. It was a great game but it's a shame that shitty umpiring had to ruin it. Maybe not for the Rays fans and the people rooting for the Rays(and if I hear one more person call them the "underdog", I'm going to explode. They are not the underdog. Last I checked, the underdog is not the better team. And let's also not confuse Cinderella teams with Underdogs. A team can be both but they can also be only one and not th eother. The Rays are a Cinderella team, yes, but not an Underdog) but still. My point stands. I'd take this loss a lot easier if it had been on a walkoff hit or something and NOT ultimately decided on bullshit calls because then that's fair and square. But it didn't so I'm pissed. However, the Red Sox are going into Fenway Park 1-1 and have Lester going Game 3. So that's huge. I don't have much else to yammer about. I'm still pissed but I'm going to sleep it off and do my picture collecting when I wake up. If the spam tomorrow isn't plentiful, then my bad. I'm cranky and tired. Cut me some slack.
