Fenway was barrels of fun. I went with the always fabulous
wrennette who is pretty much awesome. We were in the CF bleachers pretty far up. Against the wall(but in dead center not below the jumbotron). Odds are if you see a game replay or something I could probably point myself out....especially if I have that damn black umbrella up. I was the essence of dorkitude but in a good way. I had an umbrella, an Alex Cora player tee, and powdered sugar on my shirt from some fried dough. Yeah so if you happen to see some chick in dead center with an umbrella against the wall, that's me. Oh and it hailed at one point. 15 minute rain delays where they make you take shelter inside sucks because there's no way in hell you can manuever around. So anyways the game was fun, the Red Sox won 5-2 with Jed Lowrie driving in 2 runs. Dice was pretty good. Not made of awesome but pretty good. Sorry to
jollygreenpear and
misscalculation for not saying hello to you guys. I wasn't sure where you were exactly and it would've been nice to say hey. Oh and for a minor gripe, there were no Jed Lowrie shirts in my size....and no Masterson. :( That made me sad. I settled for Delcarmen though. He's pretty cool.
And for news that would amuse only me and
1863_project, I heard "Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now" in the K-Mart in South Attleboro. That was fun times. And I STILL haven't found out Lowrie's at-bat music. It's some girl singer though and it sounds REALLY familiar. I hope that
wrennette had fun as well since it was her first game. So this afternoon and evening was good times. w00ten!
edit: I must also add, you have never really lived until you've seen Ortiz steal a base in person. It's hilarious.
