Good, Bad, Ugly, and Unexpected Houseguests
As annoyed and frustrated as I am about this loss, I'm not really that phased at the same time. I know that sounds like Tim McCarver-speak but I'm not really that phased. Yes they lost and lost big. Yes Dice was shelled. Yes Tavarez wasn't much better. But think of it this way: The O's needed a win. They needed SOMETHING to hang their hat on and feel good about. They were frustrated and pissed off so they took it out on Dice and Tavarez. It was ugly, indeed, but hey when you play a four game series you're bound to lose at least one. May this be the only one. So anyways, some good bad and ugly because you need to feel good sometimes.
Good: Papi had a HR...Jacoby is still awesome and hot...Hansack did a great job going 3 scoreless...Julio Lugo went 2-4 w/ 2 RBI so it was nice of him to show up...bullpen did a great job at least, save for Julian...yeah there wasn't too much good.
Bad: Dude, Dice just flat out lost it. No way to get around it. I think the workload is getting to him a bit more than he lets on. I vote that after the Yankee start, they just rest him for like 10 days straight...Tavarez wasn't much better either. Sure he got out of the inning after the fact but then he gave up 3 runs of his own but it was already a blowout by then...Losing still sucks, all
Ugly: Yeah there was something uglier than Dice's start. I went to my friend's house and somehow a BIRD(what's a bird doing out at 9pm, I dunno) flew into her house and we spent like an hour or so trying to get the damn bird outside. It was kinda funny upon further review because I was all panicky and hid. But still...a bird?! My friend was getting all bratty about it. But it was still funny as hell. Someday she'll appreciate the oddity.
