Good win from the Red Sox tonight. It wasn't pretty but they got the job done and THAT is the important part. Tampa battled, and I give them propers for that. However, Boston hung on and won. They got to Sonnastine, which was nice to see. Ortiz had a strange ass game with a triple and an infield single...if he had hit an inside the park HR we would've officially treaded in Bizarro World. The bullpen was huge tonight as well. Lester wasn't on his game 100% and he finds his way into jams here and there...it kinda sucks and I hope he can get his ass in gear a little more. But a good game all around with Papelbon dominating and getting his 30th save of the season, being the first Red Sox closer to hit 30 saves in back-to-back seasons. That's awesome.
This was just one of those wins that is like...weird. I mean it's a good win and stuff but it was weird. Anyways good win and it shall be interesting to see the results of teh Yanks/Angels and M's/Twins games.
