Trading Deadline Newsage
*The Red Sox and White Sox are working out a deal for Jermaine Dye to join the Red Sox in exchange for Wily Mo Pena and a minor league prospect. I think they're looking at either Justin Masterson or Manny Delcarmen. Now Manny Del is an important cog in the bullpen right now. I do not wanna get rid of him. As for Masterson, I'd hate to get rid of him either because he's been rising up the charts in the prospects. The good news, though, is taht it is not Buchholz or Lester. That is good.
*The Braves are close to acquiring Mark Teixiera in exchange for Jarrod Saltalamacchia and two pitching prospects...maybe Ron Mahay goes with Tex but they may spin him off to the Cubs with Gerald Laird in exchange for Felix Pie. Hehe...Pie. That will be a great deal for both sides and a pain in the ass for the Red Sox who could use a catcher in the system or for backup purposes to take the reins from Tek. But then again, they got Ty Weeden and maybe he'll be ready by the time Tek is old and retiring and shit.
*Dan Wheeler went to TB from HOuston in exchange for Ty Wigginton. Houston could've done much more, IMO.
