That was a game that was well needed. The Red Sox win 7-5 today. The offense exploded with Mike Lowell leading the way with a 2-run shot. Doug Mirabelli hit a 2-run single and Jacoby Ellsbury had his first career RBI. Also Cora had a safety squeeze and doubled. Good times. Wakefield was really good, don't let the score mislead you. He had given up only one run before he was removed. Javier Lopez pulled a Timlin and let the inherited runners score. He wasn't on his game today, to say the least. Delcarmen came in and cleaned the mess up though with some huge plays. He's turning into quite the setup man if I say so myself. A 1-2-3 bullpen punch of Delcarmen-Okajima-Papelbon sounds very delightful! :)
Anyways that's all gamewise. It was a good game. I had to laugh when Lowell was being interviewed postgame and someone threw something at him as he was talking to Tina. He then sorta like leaned over towards the players and was kinda playfully smacking someone. It was pretty funny. Odds are it was Dustin. Maybe Cora. Anywho that is all for now.
