I think I'm the only one who actually believes in the Tigers. Well besides Tiger fans. Nobody thinks they can do it, and are talking about how they blew a double digit lead, yeah, but there's a little somethign called "Anything can happen" fucktards. Besides what is it about postseason that makes the Yankees seem all "Invincible" well except for Mariano Rivera. I really just wanna see the Tigers win, man. Robertson is an alright pitcher. The beauty of postseason is that you never know who'll come up huge. I mean Derek Lowe had a 5.00 or so ERA and he friggin kicked ass in the playoffs. It's all about the unexpected. We've seen many unexpected postseason heroes and teams who seemed like they were down and out suddenly come up and kick some ass. IIRC, didn't the White Sox have troubles too? Once again, we'll see what happens.
Dodgers and Mets face off tomorrow. Go Mets, because I can't stomach Grady making it further in the playoffs. DLowe and Nomar be damned.
As for the Twins and A's, the Twins better show up and keep that good momentum going because I fucking hate the A's. And actually
kindofwhimsical had a very very poignant question "The A's have all the same hairstyle, what's up w/ that?" Upon further review, she is a little too right to scare me. Nothing against
gimme_proonz who has a soft spot for teh A's, but I just can't like them...it's 2003 related...god i hated that team.
And finally, the Padres and Cardinals. The Cards don't deserve to be in, and even their fans know it. The Padres are basically Red Sox West. *names all the ex-Red Sox* Dave Roberts, David Wells, Cla Meredith, Josh Bard, Todd Walker, Alan Embree, Mark Bellhorn, Rudy Seanez, Scott Williamson, Manny Alexander(he's still playing?!), and...actually that's all. Though I would fully enjoy seeing Williamson and Todd Walker give a giant "FUCK YOU" to Grady Little in the psotseason if both teams advance.
On the side every so often, I'll also be checking on the minor leaguers in teh Hawaiian Winter Leagues and Arizona Fall Leagues. Just to give you a headsup. If you're not a Red Sox fan but are interested in how your players are doing, I could be sure to bring up some stats every so often. :)
