Now THAT is the Daisuke I've been wanting to see since they signed him in 06. Sure he showed some of it in 07, but that was just...well that was awesome. Six shutout innings? Pretty much awesome. So thrilled about him. Red Sox won the first game against the Angels by a score of 4-1 (the one run scoring of Papelbon). Ortiz homered and is now the All Time leader for HRs as a DH. That's just awesome. Eck is back in the studio too. That's just fabulous. Though I like him in the booth, I'll take studio. Speaking of which, when is TBS announcing their MLB playoffs announcers? Just curious, tis all.
Anyways, it's getting chillier out, football is starting, and one of my shows is coming back on Monday. That show is How I Met Your Mother. I'm REALLY looking forward to the season from what I've seen for promos. I won't reveal beyond that because I have some fans on my flist who may not wanna know (though they are promos! Still!). I just hope they can write their way through the direction they're going and not make it seem so recockulous. Meanwhile, Top Chef is going on and this may be the most talented season yet. The top 4 are clear cut -- the Voltaggio Brothers (Michael and Bryan), Jen, and Kevin. Everybody else is kinda just there. HOwever those other guys I'm pretty sure could've won any other season save for maybe seasons 3 or 4. Also, I hardly get into reality show shipping, but man do I wanna ship Michael V. and Jen so hard. Their chemistry when working together on the last episode was just amazing and then they were all like happy grinny and hearts about each other. IT was adorable. And of course, Mad Men is going on too. That's always interesting. The interesting thing about Mad Men is that you hafta watch the ep like a few times in order to get everything.
Anyways that's all...I think my next entry may be about "Betcha didn't know that X is a major/minor league coach now!" or something like that.
