I'd like a clear definition of the word insane. I don't think anybody can give one to me. Acting unlike to normal behavior? This is what I found on Dictionary.com:
a. Of, exhibiting, or afflicted with insanity.
b. Characteristic of or associated with persons afflicted with insanity: an insane laugh; insane babbling.
c. Intended for use by such persons: an insane asylum.
d. Immoderate; wild: insane jealousy.
e. Very foolish; absurd: took insane risks behind the wheel.
I'm not going to look into 20 more dictionaries, cause frankly, i dont think I need to. Everybody has a different definition of insanity. Even insane people, i think. As a matter of fact, I think insane people are the sane ones. Everybody else is just acting the wrong way, then again, how exactly are we acting? Delving deeper into the subject, we get down to what is right, and what is wrong. What is concidered normal behavior? That, again, constitutes personal definition. Another thing this topic crosses paths with, is the battle of the sexes. Are men insane? Are women? Clearly, the thought process differs between the two. What is right, and what is wrong are two different things in the mind of a man, and in the mind of a woman. I'm not going to sit here and dictate to you what women are thinking, because frankly, there is no possible way that I can. Neither can I tell you what goes on in the head of a male. You know why? Because I think they are both insane. I think everybody is completely at a loss for marbles. If we were all sane, by the formal definition that is given above (letters d. and e.), this would mean that we all behave in a similar way to each other. I don't know about you, but that sounds like bullshit to me. My brother and father, for instance, are convinced that women are insane, and there is nothing we can do about it except deal. I don't see how they came to that conclusion, all I know is that their thought process differs from ours, but that doesn't make ours the correct process between the two. It just means that we are different, we always will be. In order to maintain stability, we would all have to be sane, in other words, we would all have to act similar to each other, which brings me right back around to my point; everyone is insane. I know most of you are going to disagree with what I have said here, but that's only because you're insane.
