it be times for a post
Hey errbudy, so it's that time of year again!
Except this time around it SUCKS. No like seriously, this has been the hardest year of Nano for me so far, and probably the quickest I have ever gotten seriously behind. Currently I am 6K behind. I'm not sure why this is, but I suspect it's a combination of picking up where I left off with Chrome Yellow last year (thus falling prey to a sense of same ol' same ol' instead of jumping into something FRESH and INVIGORATING) and just feeling generally and extremely depressed about a lot of stuff these days. Which was also the case last year, but not to the same extent as it is about now, for whatever reason.
But fornicate it, we still be doin 'is, bitches. I really want to be done with this novel so I can move on to the sequelish I'm mapping out. And the only way to BE done is to GET IT done.
As it is, my frustrated frame of mind is probably going to result in 1. many more nanoisms (it already has LOLOLOL), and 2. different character arcs and plot elements going off in unexpected directions. The latter (possibly both?) of which is probably a plus for this story.
So yeah. Happy nanoings all, hope it's going better for you than it is for small and elderly me. And wish me luck! Wish me ALL OF THE LUCK.
