who said today was independence day?
i think it was dessert day instead :D
our classic tiramisu~ light cream with just the right amount of coffee and liquor flavor. altho i like my liquor in dessert ho ho ho :p
next up on the table was
i don't know the name...just know it was a pudding thing and had coconut in there lol. light and yummy.
some also classic creme brulee
altho i haven't eaten these in a lonnggg time
and a souffle.
which i've never eaten before. all eggy-ish lol. but good.hehehe
ate all this @ a totally obscure brooklyn restaurant. it was my aunt's friend's husbands restaurant so we tried it out.
andddd it was pretty damn good.
i would say it's caucasian (lumping american, french, italian, blah blah blah styles) fused with a little asian.
i must say the lamb and soups were mad yummy. i like things with good flavoring. you appreciate it more b/c good flavor is hard to get and takes love&skills.
the chef dude made appetizers, soups, entrees, and desserts in his kitchen all by himself O_O. my other aunt from canada who came down to celebrate mentioned that this day in age, people usually don't make souffles in restaurants for dessert. gotta pre-reserve em or get kicked outta the restaurant for even asking rofl.
i prefer my cakes like tiramisu any day but it's nice to try different things.
i wanna go back there just to try his different desserts and desserts of the days.
oh lordy drool *_*
i could so live just on dessert <3.
fireworks are exploding on my tastebuds.
