Me: Outside with Poppy, getting washing off line. Hears phone ringing, runs inside to answer it, leaving doors open
Poppy: Follows me in
Me: Answers downstairs noncordless (corded?) phone, has someone asking if I can babysit. Leaves phone off hook and comes upstairs to check the calendar
Poppy: Stays downstairs
Me: Checks that I'm free, picks up phone upstairs to talk because it's quicker
Poppy: Hears our voices coming through the phone downstairs and starts barking like crazy, which gets picked up by the phone and pretty much blocks out our conversation
*headdesk*
