Life after QAF

Without my weekly dose of man on man action, I feel so lost...
Hahaha.. not.
I know where to get my fix ;)

I watched Yossi and Jagger a few weeks ago and I'm still thinking about how sad it was. Now I just finished reading Brokeback Mountain by Annie Proulx, and it's sad as well. Both gay themed pieces left a bitter taste in my mouth yet I am at peace with the endings because they were real and heartfelt, and not contrived and idiotic like QAF. I can't say enough about Brokeback Mountain. It's touching, angsty, funny, and it manages all that in only 58 pages. I can't stress enough that everyone should read it. I can't wait till the movie version comes out. Is anyone else brave enough to come see it with me? Please ^^

I had dinner with Wong Hau Bun Saturday night. All you Chinese folks know him as the news anchor on KTSF Cantonese evening news. Hehehe.. I had trouble keeping a straight face. He's been doing the news for over 10 years and I still think he could use a lot of work with cue card reading.

God work. It's been a whole month already. The monotony is horrendous.

I really want to sing karaoke. If there's anyone interested, let me know. :) (Or invite me along. Purdy please?)

Grey's Anatomy season 2 starts Sunday 9/25 @ 10pm. Don't miss it! (No I am not affiliated with ABC in any way)

Wow. The story was short but packed a punch. I think I like this story a lot because it's very similar to yaoi in a way. The story has lots of angst, the "i'm not gay, I just like screwing this one other guy because I love him but I don't understand it" complex, impossible expectations, quiet & sweet moments, and the sad kind of nostalgic ending. Surprisingly, the story is quite funny at times. The author uses "cowboy talk" and some of the inntimate scenes between Jack and Ennis had me bursting out in giggles. I won't say what happens so I won't spoil it for anyone who wants to read it still, but I feel bad for Jack. Not that I blame Ennis. It takes a lot of courage to go against the norm, especially when you could end up dead because of it. I can see why Ennis couldn't find the strength to do what Jack wanted. Sigh. Now I'm sad again.
