I'm really not as dumb as I come off

So I'm working with these two dudes out of Washington DC who are supposedly suuuuper busy and suuuuuper important. So of course the peon (that'd be me) has to do all the grunt work like typing up letters and reports. That wouldn't be a problem except that they demand that I send everything to them to review before I send it out and then proceed to change EVERYTHING. Not only is there not one single full sentence of mine left in anything, but they also hate my formatting choices. For the record, I think centering is over used but these two seem to have a love affair with the center align button.
Aside from the obvious assumption by them that I must be quite incompetent, I wonder why they still even ask me to write the letters. It's obvious they are very specific in what they want and since they're basically writing the letter from scratch anyway, what is the point of me writing anything? Wouldn't it just be faster for them to write the letter and have me send it out?
