Sick yet again
Been miserable since Thursday with a head cold from hell. I can't breathe, I haven't been able to sleep through the night and I can't taste a single thing.
Luckily though, I was able to see Next to Normal and Avenue Q before my cold rendered me unfit for human contact. Both were excellent. Next to Normal almost had me in tears and due to the fact that it's about depression and mental illness and basically one huge emotional roller coaster. I found it totally douchey for people to be making fun of those who were crying in the theater. What if the subject matter really hit home for some? They're not allowed to have a respectable cry? Jfc people. So much side eye.
Avenue Q was of course hilarious. I'm not sure why I laughed so hard at the "grab your dick and double click" and "fuck you lady that's what stairs are for" lines but damn I almost slid out of my narrow theater chair. I had this weird prudey lady sitting next to me who kept saying "omg" and "oh my". Didn't she know it was a show about dirty muppets? Should have come prepared lady.
The Oscars. While I love me some James Franco, I'm not really sure what was up with him that night. He looked annoyed or pissed off and it was just weird. Thought Natalie was great in Black Swan but was kind of rooting for Annette Benning because she deserves a freakin Oscar already.
LOL at Ashley Cole shooting a poor intern with a bb gun. I mean wtf? There's stupid and then there is just beyond stupid. smh.
