I just saw a segment on 7.30 report about an artist who has spent a lifetime painting Lake Eyre. He was fortunate enough to witness it with water in the mid 70s. Having only seen the tip of the lake whilst on the Oodnadatta track, i was fascinated and in awe of it. I desperately want to go and see it now, in full bloom. It isnt too far from Quorn, not really, not if we make it our destination and dont take any detours along the way. About 4 hours will get us to the tip and then we can take our time trying to see more of it - if you can see more at the moment. This really might be a once in a lifetime event and I dont want to miss it.

Time to talk to Lachie about our SA trip this year.
