I am so behind the times. I JUST bought my first ipod. It is so small and cute and RED!! I can't stop listening to it! I love it! And you can watch shows on it to?! OMG I am in heaven. When I go on my trip to Portland I am going to be so entertained I can't handle it.

do tell ... which model did you get? My last mp3 player died a cruel and unusual death ... death by falling from a desk lol and I have steered clear of the IPods but am starting to wonder if they are worth another look

I got an 8g red ipod nano. They totally re-did them so that they have a wider screen and look just like the big ones but are WAY thin and small. I am pretty happy with it. The only things I do not like about it are 1) that you have to "sync" it to the itunes on your computer every time you want to update the music on it, meaning if you listen to itunes a lot on your computer and have chosen a bunch of new songs since the last time you plugged in your ipod it will delete the settings on your ipod and replace it with the way that your itunes is when you plug it in. Even if you wish that you could keep all your old ipod settings and just want to add a new song. Does that make sense? and 2) you have to plug it into your computer to charge the battery. Maybe there is an adapter that you can buy that will let you plug it into the wall, but if there is you have to buy it separately. What if I need to charge the battery when I am out traveling or something and not near a computer??! You should be able to plug the thing into the wall
