Ugh, if the family hadn't been so nice I wouldn't hesitate to email her back and ask for the REAL reason I didn't get the job. The reason she gave me makes absolutely no sense - "Both my husband and I don't think it would work for you to babysit here and over by DePaul. To be honest the commute times can be awful and there would probably be several times where you are just getting there or there might even be the chance that you could be late." "It's just not practicable." #1) I would be babysitting for THEM first and the DePaul people second, so why would she care about me being late or whatever to another job that doesn't involve her #2) There's TWO AND A HALF HOURS between the two jobs- even if I ended up babysitting for her an extra hour at the last minute there would STILL be plenty of time to get there #3) I haven't even talked to the DePaul people yet and it may not even work out. WTF. I want to know what would've happened if I hadn't told her that I had a possibility with the DePaul people. Maybe she would've given me the real reason! Ugh I'm so frustrated!

I just emailed her. I tried to tell her in a nice way that the reason she gave me is bullshit and asked her to tell me the real reason. I figure I have nothing to lose since it's not possible for me to work for them now anyway. We'll see what she says...
