Thoughts of a Dying Atheist
MUSE was last night and it was fucking amazing! I won't give you all the details, but I'll give you a quick summary. Ok we got there about 6:30, and had to wait in the cold for an hour before the doors open. I'm still glad I didn't bring a long sleeve shirt though, I probably would have lost it inside. Anyway the doors opened at 7:30, and we got in and we got right up close to the stage, only a few rows back. Alana and Jake somehow pushed themselves up to the front row. No fair! Haha anyway we waited around for another hour, and then the opening band, the Zootons, who I had never heard of, came on. They were actually pretty good I thought, although the crowd didn't get into them at all really. So after they finished we waited for another.......half hour I'd say. A few ignorant girls had made a poster and were holding it up so all the people behind them could'nt see. I grabbed it and tore it down, and while I didn't manage to rip it, they didn't hold it up anymore. And I won the respect of everyone around me.
Anyway Muse finally came on, after we all impatiently waited for a while. The crowd was so fucking psyched. I moshed for a while with everyone else, and it was awesome, never have I been so happy to have all my personal space violated. I kind of wanted to throw something, so Brian gave me a pen, and without thinking, I chucked it right at Matt Bellamy, the singer. It narrowly missed him, flying right over his head. Brian later gave me a keychain, which I also threw and once again, narrowly missed Matt Bellamy. Sometime during the concert I lost my shoe, because it wasn't tied tight enough, and it just got pulled off or something. So I didn't think I would ever get it back, and I was like what the fuck is the point of having one show? So as soon as I got some space, I took off my remaining shoe, and I chucked that at the stage. It didn't come close to hitting anyone, but Alana told me later that it reached the stage and stayed there for a while. God I love being the idiot fan who throws shit up on the stage :-). Anyway so the rest of the concert I was moshing shoeless. I was so fucking scared that I would break my toes. They got stepped on sooooooooo much. But it was still awesome. I'm a completely different person at a concert, I just go completely crazy. Haha after one of the songs, I screamed out to Matt Bellamy, " I WANT TO FUCK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!" Yeah that was pretty cool. Anyway MUSE put on an awesome show, I only knew a few songs, but every song was still great. After they finished their set they had an encore, which was like 5 songs long. I could tell they just didn't want to stop playing. But by that time I didn't have like any energy left and I was ready for the show to be over. After it was over and people cleared out, I found the shoe that I had lost! But I couldn't find the one that I had thrown on the stage, so I was left with one shoe and that's pretty pointless. But I wanted new shoes anyway, so it's cool. Then we went outside, I got two drinks first cause I was so fucking thirsty, and me, Brian, and Alana's brother Dan looked for Alana and Jake, who I hadn't seen the whole concert. We found them outside, and we sat for a little while, because Alana's mom was going to pick us up. We walked a little bit down the street, and sat on some stairs, I was so cold but Alana let me borrow her Nirvana hoodie cause she got a MUSE hoodie. Anyway while we were sitting down this guy comes up to me, and drops a cd on my lap. Then Alana realized that he was the lead singer of the Zootons. That was so funny cause at first I had no idea who he was. So then Dan dissapeared, and we walked down the street to look for him. Alana saw a bus on the street behind the Electric Factory, and she thought it might be Muse's tour bus. Then she saw Dan, and started running after him. It turns out Muse was just about ready to go, and we got to meet Matt Bellamy!!!!!!!! Alana got to hug him. awwww. Anyway I got his autograph on my ticket, which was awesome. I didn't mention I was the one throwing shit at him........ I don't even know if he noticed though. He was pretty cool.
So........ just then Alana's mom came and picked us up, and drove us home.
Today I'm getting new shoes!
