All I want for Christmas
Step One
Make a post (public, friendslocked, filtered...whatever you're comfortable with) to your LJ. The post should contain your list of 20 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fandom-related ("I'd love a Snape/Hermione icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for _____ on DVD") to really big ("All I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV.") The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.
If you wish for real life things (not fics or icons), make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you.
Also, make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your LJ, or link to this post (it'll be public) so that the holiday joy will spread.
Step Two
Surf around your friendslist (or friendsfriends, or just random journals) to see who has posted their list. And now here's the important part:
If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use--or even know where you could get someone's dream purebred Basset Hound for free--do it.
You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf--to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not--it's your call.
There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. Just...wish, and it might come true. Give,
and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.

2. One of my full decos, a really super purty one, but even my old ugly ones would be fantastic!

4. Raspberry Chocolate bars from Godiva
5. To be able to get my pooky bear her clock (if you'd like to donate money to this cause, just drop me a line. She'd LOVE to have this clock, and 350 people donated a dollar we could get it for her and save her life!)
6. To know what it's like to have parents that show they care about you

8. Any Jack Off Jill anything (but especially a hard to find shirt with pink glitter on it
and the actual copy of Humid Teenage Mediocrity I've only ever been able to find at http://www.amazon.co.uk/ and can't seem to get my money transferred into sterlings wihout paying out of the ass for it)
9. Anything Tare Panda (I'm sticking with Heather!)
10. That plastic covering you see on decos with the square and triangle patterns on it, even just where I can find it.
11. $25,000 in back child support I'm owed
12. Candles (cuz I love good smelling things, yeah I'm sticking with Heather on this one too!)
13. Packets of kool-aid or something warm to drink
14. Scared Stiff Pinball Machine (yeah this one will be here for a loooooong time! But if you have $1500 just laying around and want to get it for me, I'd love you love you love you!)
15. Glittery Gel Pens, and yeah the ones that actually work, even if they don't last very long
16. Anything pertaining to the art of Mark Ryden
17. Something fun for my almost 5 year old son and I to do together
18. An anime magazine, or something anime to use on my decos that's not printed off a regular computer printer
19. A menu from a marijuana bar in Amsterdam
20. Something, anything, you think would make me smile, because I'm trying hard to hold back sad tears today
