Behind the times
A small PS: I just noticed that today was Friday the 13th. I've been writing 2/13 on all of the reviews and manuscripts in my inbox, and I've been in and out of my datebook.
Maybe I'll get some peanuts still in their shells and sneak them into a movie theater tonight.
I hate watching movies with people who have my career; like Never Been Kissed. The line she gives in the beginning movie about the spelling of "theater" was completely incorrect. She should have replied "the place is '-er' and the concept is '-re.'" I no longer trusted her--the college degree, the high status job--did she ever even take a language course? The entire movie was ruined for me because I kept thinking "I know more about English than you. I want your job!"
The most romantic Valentine's Day present anyone could give me would be an edited version of all of these movies, removing or re-dubbing any line portraying a character as an editor. I've heard NBK is a good movie.
