amazing weekend.
So I had a pretty awesome weekend, I think.
Friday, the few classes I went to were pretty chill and helpful. Emily's brother drove us to the train station for a train at 2. We both got to Irvine at around 3. I got to meet her grandma, who is so sweet :] Eric was a bit late picking me up because of traffic, but I got to read this month's Cosmo during that time, so it was ok. He had called me while I was on the train, saying that we were gonna meet up with everyone at the beach once he picked me up, then go to Sprinkles for cupcakes, then I'd go to class with him at 5. But we ended up not going, because everyone else wasn't at the beach yet. We stayed back at the room and chilled until his class. Walking to class with him was just really fun and silly...it's like I fell in love all over again. Sitting through class with him was pretty bearable too, because I was on his laptop the whole time. Afterwards, we headed back to the room. He shot around for a bit as I did some homework before the concert, while everyone else was at Mitsuwa. He and I headed to the concert, and there was crazy traffic at the exit for the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater. Sean, Eric's brother, was supposed to go with us, but was at Mitsuwa with everyone else...he met up with us a little later.
IRON MAIDEN IS AMAZING LIVE. There really are no other words. Bruce Dickinson, the lead singer, has such a commanding stage presence..he's pretty much born to rock, haha. And he was very witty. It made me like him a lot. Like how he yelled "Sharon!" when their lights didn't work, in reference to when they headlined OzzFest a couple of years ago and Sharon Osborne fucked with their lights. I didn't know all their songs by heart, so I felt a little left out. And I also wasn't completely drunk or high, haha. I really want to see them again, though. The crowd had such an intense energy that made me love going.
We headed back to Irvine after. Sean knocked out. Jason, Jon, Nick, and Molly came over after a bit of drinking. Jason is a very cuddly drunk, haha. Then we and Jordan headed over to Jon's hall, because the girl Jason is trying to get at was there. She was passed out from drinking. Her RA called the cops and an ambulance. Eric had to drive Jason, Jon, and the girl's friend to the hospital because he was the only one not drinking who had a car. I went to bed as Eric was going to drive them. He got back pretty early in the morning, and crawled into bed with me at 6:30am.
Saturday, we woke up late, and had lunch at Arriba. I had the delicious quesadilla I had the first time I was there. After lunch, we chilled; I studied for my Chem Lab final, and Eric started on his paper. Then his beautiful black MacBook died. He was upset, and went outside to shoot a bit. He ran into Angela while out at the court, and I ran out to see her. She was there with Sam :] It was so nice to see them again, though I've definitely drifted from my best friend. Jonathan came by to see if he could do anything...he made an appointment with the Genius Bar at the Apple store :] Eric and I drove to the Irvine Spectrum, where I could spend every day shopping, it was that amazing. Eric had to get a new hard drive, but it was free because he had the Apple Care package. Kinda sucked because he was planning on buying an external hard drive this weekend to back up his files. We walked around, Eric picked up job applications at various restaurants, and we got Auntie Anne's pretzels, the best pretzels in the world :] We headed back, and Jonathan wanted to go to In-N-Out. A bunch of us went. I was introduced to Neapolitan shakes; I introduced everyone how to make a worm out of a straw wrapper. We headed back for Movie Night, but Eric and I didn't join. He was pretty frustrated with people in general, and I had to watch Apocalypse Now for my writing class. I got through half of it before I fell asleep, haha. Then Eric and I watched the season finale of LOST, since he was ok to be around people by then. IT WAS FREAKING AMAZING! There are just so many things to think about, it blows my mind. It was around 4am when we finished; everyone else had gone to bed while I fell asleep watching my movie. Then Eric and I headed to bed.
Sunday, we woke up in time to go to Pippin, the dining hall, before it closed. I made chocolate chip waffles for me and Eric. He put whipped cream and syrup on his; I put whipped cream, maraschino cherries, and marshmallows on mine :] It was a very happy waffle. We headed back to the room and chilled, ended up falling asleep. Then Bozzy's family randomly stopped by, and Eric had me hide under the covers, which was very hot and uncomfortable. After they left, we snuggled and napped for a little before we had to leave for me to catch my train. But once I arrived at the station, I think I missed the 7:20-ish bus, and had to wait another hour for the 8:20 bus :( That happened the last time I went to Irvine. stupid buses. When I got back, I met Hayley's best friend who is visiting, Ariana, and she's such a sweet girl :] Every person Hayley has brought over, I get along with really well. She and I had a LOST geek moment, haha. I called Eric when I crawled into bed, and he wasn't feeling to well then. He called me when he went to bed, and still wasn't feeling well.
When I got finished with my Chem Lab final this morning, I decided to call Eric because I felt pretty good about it. But he was like "Didn't you get my voicemail?" Of course, I did, but didn't get the notification because my phone is stupid. He said that he called me around 4:30am because he had thrown up from not feeling well, and not to call him in the morning so he could sleep.
All in all, pretty good weekend, I must say :]
