Costume Carnival

So my school has this thing where they have a bunch of models dress up according to theme, and it only happens once a semester! It's the first time I went and ahhh it was really cool! The theme was "A Day in Paris" or something like that. basically french themed, they had a Marie Antoinette and a Joan of Arc as well as stereotypical french costumes! (I didn't like my drawings of those two people though ah...)
Eeeek it was such a drawing marathon, it was like nonstop drawing as the models rotated around the room. I didn't take a break at all until lunch x_x And then after that I didn't take a break either. It was really good for me though cause I needed that practice and I also have to fill up a sketchbook for class. I got a good number of pages filled!
Also one of the models had a parrot! (or whatever bird it is I could be wrong) In the morning he was saying hello alot was being really cuuute. I tried to draw him a couple times but... it was horrible... later in the day the bird got shy or something because it wouldn't face us haha.

She was my favorite because I love dresses like hers and I like balloons although I couldn't fit them on the page :[ But she didn't stay for very long. I was sad.

This is a kinda cruddy page. I just like the guy.

These were longer poses. I really liked the old lady, she was so pretty and adorable! I messed up on her face OTL but I really enjoyed drawing that one. The other one, I'm not sure what she's supposed to be?

This one is my favoriteeeee. I didn't realize it was going to be a long pose so I accidentally drew her in the corner where I needed to fill up space, so I could only fit half of her.
Also old people's faces are really fun to drawwww.

I realized that day that I shouldn't be so hung up on trying to draw realistically, cause when I looked around during lunch everyone was drawing in their own style (and their own choice of medium, from charcoal to markers to paint!) But like all the past drawing classes I've had were all about drawing realistically so I guess it got stuck /o\ The drawing class I'm taking now doesn't focus on drawing realistically but I can't help but do so. I think if I loosened up a bit and put in my style I'd enjoy class more...
