And the road goes ever on and on and on

Part I - Party time
This very day, I came one step closer at becoming an old lazy gramps. Yes, I am officially 19 years old from now on indeed! It actually is a rather boring day, as everyone is abroad nowadays, celebrating their holiday. Hell to it, I celebrate it about a month or something, when holidays are over. Thanks for the cards, PM's, mails and MSN nudges everyone! I had a rare vision of at least one card which will arrive too late (due to the postman? Sure...) but I forgive you.

Yesterdag, a good friend of mine got married. And I was to sing at his wedding, in the church. I did the same thing for his sister last year, and just as then, it was so incredibly awesome. It's really, really special to sing and play two songs on the 'most beautiful day of someone's life'. Yesterday, this making-live-music-on-a-good-friend's-wedding-experience was elevated to a whole new level when people started to cry. I was really touched. Video recordings have been made, so I may be able to upload a fragment or two. At 8.30 p.m. the real party started. I don't like those big parties with dull Dutch carnaval music and whatsoever, but this one actually was quite cool. At midnight, we celebrated my birthday for a while. A 150-voices birthday song, not bad at all, eh?

Part II - Venezia
Oh, I almost forget telling about my Italia trip. Well, there is not much to tell. Besides idling at the camping with the occasional dive in the Garda lake, we visited Venezia (oh, how I love this city above all others), Verona and Venezia, again. First Venezia visit, I gave my family a tour across the famous touristic highlights: Ponte Rialto, Piazza San Marco, Palazzo Ducale, etc. After that we took a vaporetto to Burano, which I've never had the chance to visit before. It was a really cosy, colourful, relaxed island.

Second visit to Venezia, I just went with my aunt and mother, which I dropped in the musea and wandered through the calles (alleys), fondamentes (quays) and canals all by my own. The true beauty of this city does not lie in its famous highlights, but in its concealed parts. The best way to get to know Venezia is to get lost. No kiddin. That day, I also teamed up with Niek and his family, who were their for their first day of a 5-day stay. I took a lot of pictures.

I want to go back. Now! Photos are up here
