The air has changed completely in Gainesville and the town is teeming with orange and blue. BJ's tables are sat with Gator families and the big screens portray nothing but college ball, paint- and sweat-clad fans screaming in support for their alma maters. The streets are abutted with a perpetual buzz of smoking grills, aromatic burgers, sizzling hot dogs, coolers full of liquor and beer, proud tailgators (as I like to spell it), portable tvs and radios, and masses celebrating various Gator carols. And though I am required to work basically all of our home games, I do not regret staying in Gainesville another semester. I love it here and the people I am surrounded by on a daily basis are people who bring to my life loving, caring, humor and consummate happiness. I am excited about the move that will bring Leo and I together in Orlando come December, but I am glad that we are waiting until December.
Tonight the Pats play against the Bills and the crew and I will go for that game and all you can eat wings at Dockside. I'm happy oozing with ecstasy about that. I love everyone so much.
Tomorrow I go to Lakeland to give my second speech to the Rotary Club about how I got kicked out at 17 and had to survive before putting myself all the way through college. It's fun, though I'm a little nervous and haven't worked on this speech yet. Hopefully I will be received well; last time it was a blast. I had never met such a brilliant, amazing, amiable group of people like that before.
After my speech, I'll keep heading down south toward Palm Beach to visit Leo until Friday morning--gotta work the Tennessee game on Saturday. I definitely want to go out Friday night and meet some peeps. The night scene will be insanity because of all the people in town.
After reading through my last post, I need to go back and do some more reading. The only reading I'm doing now is the GRE book. I decided to study for that Lucifer-created test to keep grad school as an option. But damn, I am not sure if I can do it! That test is evil and crazy. And studying for it is not fun. That post also reminded me that I need to fix my layout because I'm tired of it. But I'm too lazy to do that lol.
Ok, well, I have gone through about 8 songs and my eyes are getting blurry from reading the screen too much. One final point I do want to make is that I have an awesome fantasy football team that I will outline below. I currently have 134 points and Adrian Peterson got me 45 of them hehehehhee. It's awesome! I love fantasy fucking football!
My Team: "The Usual Suspects"
- RB Adrian Peterson
- WR Larry Fitzgerald
- QB Donovan McNabb (who is hurt so I have to put in Sanchez)
- RB Ronnie Brown
- WR Greg Jennings
- RB/WR DeSean Jackson
- TE Zack Miller
- K David Akers
- Defense: Ravens
Benched I have:
- RB Larry Johnson
- QB Carson Palmer
- RB Reggie Bush
- K John Carney
- Defense: Jets
- WR Laveranues Coles
It's gonna be great season not only for my Gators but for the Patriots and the Usual Suspects!
Wish me luck with everything! Peace
