The Poker Chronicles. Entry 1
The Journey Begins..
I have decided to attempt to play professional poker. I am by no means a great player. I am however solid and constantly learning. I have some knowledge of starting hands, probability and a few of the nuances taht will help me in this endevour. I cant really read people as well as I should, yet, and the math involved is still new but getting stronger. Strategy, focus, fearlessness and a desire to win have pushed me to start out on this 'career' in a part time capacity. I do well allready and I think putting more focus on playing will ultimately allow me make alot more. I have a loose plan right now. It is to play when i can as often as I can. Home games, Casino, Charity events. No limit, limit cash games to tourtemnts, Im gunna start playing them all. I am starting with 100 dollars given to me for my birthday. I will continue to support my self, hopefully paying all my debt off and bills by using my paycheck from my day job. $ 380 a week should put a great dent into all that. I should be able to Pay off A debt pay ment, rent and utilities every month with this money. The rest, Gas, food, and spending money I will use my poker winnings, Keeping a lil bit for the roll may happen after I gain control of the finances. We will see how it Works, but keeping basically 400 bucks per week untouched will be a great boon if it works out.
