About last night...

So i got a call yesterday afternoon from Peggy, Ryan, and Ben. They were going to Cambridge to see one of our fav bands, Wheat. Of course, i made sure i could come along, and come along i did. We left at four-ish, and ended up at my house to grab some money and see my folks. Then we went to Erin's because we figured she'd want to see Peggy and Ry and Ben and such. Then we get to Cambridge, by our tickets at TT's, and hang around. We got some food at Zoe's, a great little cafe place near Harvard, then went to see the show. Wow. Okay...opening band was the Yarrows. More like the Craptasticles. Then a band called Verona Downs played. Friggin amazing. They had like, a cellist and a violinist. Awesome. Next up was Plain Janes, an awesome band i've seen multiple times. They rocked and it was good. We waited for Wheat, and oh boy, awesome. For the first show back home in three years, Wheat friggin proved why they ruled so much. Their last album, Per Second, Per Second, Per Second had like 14 songs on it. They played for two hours and only played two songs off of that album, including a friggin visceral version of "Don't I Hold You." Yeah. Tears. Literally. But anyway, that means they played an hour-and-twenty of NEW songs. And holymoly macaroni. So good. After the show (which got out at 2) we realized that we were stuck in cambridge cause the T stops at 12:30. Of course no one believed me when i told them it wasn't 24/7, but whatev. We got a taxi ride all the way to Oak Grove ( i had to direct the driver...fun) and he took extra care making sure he drove in circles to make the fare that much more expensive. We drove back to Ludlow where Ben left his car, said bye to Ry and Peggy, and drove back to school. It was at 4:45 when we were on Western Ave in front of Stanley Park, that this hitchhiker/drunk/depressed kid runs into the street flipping us of, trying to jump in front of the car. Thank god we didn't hit him.

That was my night.

And i miss you.
