Last night I danced with an angel
Such beauty untold, unseen
Filling all my senses
Beyond my wildest dream

She took my hand and guided me
Across a dance floor ever high
Then I heard her whisper of
Things I had never tried

As she drew me nearer
Swaying to the rhythm of our souls
I closed my eyes and held my breath
As new worlds replaced old

We danced for many hours
Until the break of dawn
Upon her wings I laughed and cried
Before the night was gone

Last night I danced with an angel
She felt so close and real
Stars were bursting everywhere
With how she made me feel

As the morning sun rose
So warm, so full and bright
I prayed the opportunity
To dance another night
