Humbug
Am I the only one who thinks that the holiday season is becoming more and more disgusting every year? Sure it's nice to get together with family and give and recieve. But these stupid ads that you see on TV and hear on the radio, and even see on billboards that you drive by, are really getting annoying. Hell, it's the 6th of January and I still see them on TV all the time. Maybe it just hit home more forcefully with me this year because 2007 ended in such a horrible way for me.
In other (less depressing) news, I was able to pick up a bunch of my old books while I was back home, most notably my collection of Greek and Roman philosophy. Think I'll read some Marcus Aurelius' Meditations to get off to a good start. You could say that it's the greatest self-help book ever written... haha.
