(no subject)
It's been three weeks since I've been out of school and I haven't even
bothered to touch this thing yet. Yes, I am about the almost the
laziness person alive...next to Jessica, who can't even peel her own
damn shrimp. That's just pathetic.
So, what's been going on so far this summer? Not a whole lot, honestly. There's my complete lack of a job, which continues to aggrivate my parents. It's not that I haven't tried looking for one. I've just about given up because every promising job prospect ends with "I'm sorry, but we want someone more permanent." Being home for only three months doesn't help my employment opportunities.
Everyone knows about my black eye and how I got it, so I won't go into that much. It's almost completely gone, though, so I won't be getting odd looks from random strangers when I go out. It's like they've never seen a black eye...or maybe they just thought I was making a statement of some sort and wearing make-up on one eye, like Michael Jackson and his one white glove, or something.
Eventually, I have to get to work on cleaning up the yard, which means hours and hours of being out in the hot sun cutting down blackberry bushes. How exciting. Sunburns, bug bites, random cuts...yeah, that's going to be fun. So, I'm putting it off as long as possible, which won't be for much longer.
Finally, even though I've already said it, congrats to Marisa and Carolyn for graduating from high school. That's more of an achievement than you think.
